MPESA Statements can now be received by email on the 5th of every month. If it’s your first time to use the service just Dial *234# Select My M-PESA information Select M-PESA Statement Select full Statement Enter National ID or document of registration Enter e-mail address and confirm.
Now you will receive the MPESA Statements at your convenient after registering for the service which takes less than 5 minutes to complete.
The MPESA statement is received directly to your e-mail address as a PDF file, which should be easy for you to open and print or browse through.
This service saves you the time it would have taken yo to visit Safaricom retail stores for MPESA queries. You can get your MPESA statements on demand. Statements received may be used as required financial documents to financial institutions as requested by these firms.
All MPESA customers can access this service for FREE by dialing *234# from their mobile phones.
As a customers, you will receive your MPESA statements on a monthly basis or on demand for the last 3 months, last 6 months and last 12 months.
Once you request to receive your statement, Safaricom will send it within 5 minutes.
Ms. Mwangi noted that on average a further 9,000 calls are made to the Customer Centre every month requesting for MPESA Statements, and listed the new services as illustrative of the transformative power of placing more control at the customers disposal.
“Every month an average of 30,000 customers’ visit our Retail Centres specifically seeking to receive printed MPESA statements, as a prerequisite to accessing credit from financial institutions or for business reconciliation purposes,” said Betty Mwangi, Director – Financial Services at Safaricom.
The service will continue to complement the already existing option that allows customers to obtain statements by visiting Safaricom Retail Centres across the country.
